Rediscover dried flowers as they extend the harvest when winter arrives early,
such as in Mt. Horeb, WI, where the Larsen family operates Sunborn Flower Farm and Florist. Designed by Lisa Larsen, everything in this vibrant wreath was harvested and dried from Sunborn’s land, including hydrangea, marigold, gomphrena, rose hips, hops, statice, oats and Sweet Annie. “I start by making a circle with gathered grapevine as the base. It does not need to be thick; just two or three vines. I then add small bunches of dried flowers by wiring them to the wreath until it is full. Any spaces can be filled by extra flowers or hops, attached with glue. (c) Sunborn Flower Farm and Florist Photography with permission.
